Rain World is a ‘survival platformer’ for Vita & PC

Rain World is “a survival platformer” set in an abandoned industrial environment. The world has been ravaged and intense rains make life as we know it impossible. Players control a slugcat who must hunt and collect enough food during the dry season–to survive another cycle of hibernation. Of course, there are other creatures that have the same plan.

Originally funded through Kickstarter for PC and Mac, a new update (via Eurogamer) reveals that Adult Swim has since picked up publishing rights, meaning a Vita release is also coming. “They are 100% here to help us take Rain World to the next level,” the devs say.

World of Tanks 1.1 updates adds tank crews to Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 edition of World of Tanks has received its first content update. In addition to tossing in a new map and some new tanks, the 1.1 update adds in the game’s Crew system to help make running the mechanical behemoths a little bit easier.

Subnautica screenshots show off Natural Selection dev’s underwater explorer

Natural Selection dev Unknown Worlds’ next game is quite different from their first. Subnautica is an “open world underwater exploration and construction game,” where players will have to dive through the depths to collect resources while avoiding creatures like Stalkers and Jumpers.

Players can use a personal propeller vehicle to swim through the ocean. Or, for a bit more protection and speed, they can also use Cyclops–a submarine.

Nuclear Throne adds co-op multiplayer

The apocalypse is usually better with friends, which is why Vlambeer is adding co-op multiplayer to their upcoming roguelike Nuclear Throne. The developer released some new footage of the game at PAX East, showing some more of the post-apocalyptic world and the many dangers that have come to inhabit it before showing some of the new two-player co-op feature, which will allow a pair of buddies to blast some radioactive rats together.
