NBA Jam is my favorite Video Game from the NBA
February 27th, 2011 at 4:54 pm
@ElectronicHxC maybe or maybe not. The simplisity of the game back then made it great. I always played it but bringing it to next gen MIGHT be the best ide EA’s had in a LONG time!

@remixer412 here is your review: nba jam can not be remade, todays games are so unoriginal that they just remake old games, ive got nba jam and nba jam TE on my genesis and it will far surpass any next gen bullshit that todays market will release

@kNIGHTWING01 wouldev been better if you would review the arcade version of jam not the snes version.
February 27th, 2011 at 6:50 pm
I really prefer the snes version, simply because the music is way more badass (not TE, the original). I recommend trying it with the four player adapter–you can have some intense two on two matches with friends (goes well with alcohol, unlike lots of games).

OMG! I remember playing this games on my cousins’ sega! I’ve never been much for sports either but this one was fun (along with a wrestling game for the Sega, forgot what it was called). I was also a big Chicago Bulls fan in the day since most of my family is from Chicago. TOTALLY agree with you agree they should of had Michael Jordan as a playable character

Hey since you plan on doing gensis review mind if I give you a few of my personal favorites I grew up with and maybe you could possibly review them? (: Lets see, I loved Vectorman, Contra Hard Corps, Midnight Resistance, Comic Zone(You may of done this one not sure) and then you could do some more popular ones such as xmen, toejam and earl 2 etc. Just thought it would be cool to see some of these ones up (:

@mclev
I was more a Jordan Fan then Bulls fan. When I was a kid my favorite teams were Yankee’s, Pirates,Steelers,Giants,Bulls,Devils,Ducks & Rangers. Today Im not really fan of any sports teams and I don’t follow any players or teams anymore. I grew out of sports, wasn’t a Bandwagoner at all. My Family were Knicks fans, I just liked the Bulls better. But again I grew out of Sports.

Bulls fan in the 90s, huh? Bandwagoners suck.

@remixer412
No because Im not buying NBA 11 to play a watered down shareware verison of NBA Jam Wii. Too me thats a waste of my time, besides, Ive grown tired of the Sports sim games, they are boring. The only Ea Sports game I will play is NHL and even that is rare. My favorite is still NHL 99 on N64. However IF a developer sends me NBA 11 I will be more then happy to look at the shorter Jam game with online. But for NOW I will be reviewing the real JAM Wii and not the port =)
February 28th, 2011 at 2:10 am
Are you reviewing the PS3/360 versions of NBA Jam too? They’re coming with Elite 11 and will have Online play.
February 28th, 2011 at 2:29 am
Awesome review!
I have the SNES TE Edition and loved it!…the only I miss is that there is no music during the gameplay…
February 28th, 2011 at 2:40 am
@kNIGHTWING01 Oh, my friends and I used to play the SNES one in 4 Player every now and then, but the game’s sequel NBA Hangtime was on the N64 and that was 4 player. Midway lost the NBA JAM name after Acclaim literally stole it from under their noses. The reason why they suddenly stopped publishing Midway games.
