@Eatshitandlol u wont if its anything like the modern backstory its less about america and the war and almost entirely about S.H.I.E.L.D and hydra not american patriotism almost a completely different conflict

@HalfricanNanners as long as i dont have to hear star spangled banner in every fight scene and an opaque American flag fluttering behind him i will be fine. i assure you i have little to no interest in Captain America, i dont know how long he’s been around and i dont know any of the history behind the character. i want to watch a movie not an American recruitment film.

@Eatshitandlol hes captain america… i mean really hes been that way for over 80 years not like their gonna take out the flag themes now, in the story they make him a propaganda themed hero because the germans destroyed the soldier program so to compensate for the fact that they only get one they use him to fuel the war effort… they even say that in the trailer

The best TV spot in the super bowl in my opinion was the transformers 3 one.

Has anyone noticed that in the trailers they’re in a place that’s cold and snowing? I’m assuming he’ll be frozen then.

@Eatshitandlol calm down, if you really are a student in America you probably see plenty of flags every day. And besides if just a freaking movie dont get all worked up for nothing.

@Eatshitandlol Now I get what you are saying but it seems silly. I have no problem watching a movie with foreign nationalism. Look at the Last Samurai despite following an american the story is about how Japan is great and better than the countries trying to change it, without the american I’d still like it. Just because you praise a country in a film doesn’t mean you are offending others. I don’t see this movie having any more nationalism than Saving Private Ryan.

@demiser21 so you think i am upset by seeing an American flag? no you missed the point entirely, i have nothing against the US, i’m a freakin’ American studies student, i don’t like nationalism in films, it alienates foreign audiences and i suspect Captain America of all things may play on the nationalist aspect the film can quite easily adopt. I have nothing against America but i hate how in your face American themed films can get.

@Eatshitandlol I think you just have something against the U.S. There is only one flag in this whole trailer from what I could see. If you went to a military base of any other country there would be a flag representing them as well.

@EpicKillaThug In my opinion Bane should not be larger than Tom Hardy. As years went on Bane got bigger and bigger in the comics but originally (such as whe he broke batman’s back) he is smaller than a wrestler. Bane’s strength isn’t his muscles alone it’s his cunning.

Tom Hardy, is trying to put on weight for his role as Bane, in The Dark Knight Rises. Why no just use digital cgi enhancement instead? If special effects can make Chris Evans look incredibly scrawny, they can make Tom Hardy look huge.

@Fuby803 yes BUT ITS STILL COOL!

@Fuby803 in all honesty most proud Americans are fucking morons… Nationalism is retarded. i never said anything about “this movie is fucked up” i said i dont want to watch a movie, as a non American, that is bulging with nationalist bullshit. he can be captain america without having the national anthem and an American flag on screen every time he enters the frame.

@Fuby803 The lamest superhero of all time in cinema…..then came Catwoman……Ugh
September 29th, 2011 at 2:19 am

September 29th, 2011 at 2:47 am
@Fuby803 Wow, where to start with you? There was no opinions but just a joke about the stereotype that American’s use drugs to attain fitness, i never said anything about your comic book HEROES, I got here like most people got here with their subscription, why would it be bad to see Hitler getting punched in the face (sounds like your pro nazi) and we wouldn’t be speaking German and have blonde hair, that’s not how genes work and don’t even try to be a stereotypical American about WW2 Make sense
September 29th, 2011 at 2:54 am
@Fuby803 Tight gay suit.
September 29th, 2011 at 3:21 am
@Fuby803 Lol i don’t give a shit about America or its people. I guess that’s why
