Nothing annoys me more in video games than a title that won’t let you figure things out on your own. I don’t want to fail at a boss fight once, only to have the character point out the weak spot the next time around. New Super Mario Bros. Wii seems to have moved away from that type of design, at least somewhat. We know Nintendo can provide more organic solutions to teaching players what they need to learn, and from time to time they revisit that interesting method of teaching. The Super Guide looks like a great way to provide hints for those that need them, and keep hints away from those that aren’t interested.
