We’ve all seen warnings from the Emergency Broadcast System. They start with a loud, annoying buzz, and then they scroll a message that informs you of any bad weather or another emergency in your area. If you’re playing video games, how on earth will you see that warning?
Well, right now in New York, the Emergency Management Office is working on a way to deliver this same message to those that are playing Wii, 360 or PS3. It looks liek you’ll have to have online enabled to get these messages, but it’s better than nothing. The full details haven’t come out yet, but it sounds like a trial run isn’t that far off.
