The THQ Fighting Group is looking for a Senior Character Artist to help guide artistic direction and ensure high character art quality in our next generation of fighting games.

Responsibilities:
•Work with the Character Art Director to manage the creation of models for multiple products with different artistic styles
•Review model likenesses and quality, documenting changes that are needed
•Help direct in-house and outsourced artists
•Build character models and modify existing character models as needed
•Do final touch ups on character renders as needed
•Help establish character model specs
•Aid in the research and development of new modeling and texturing approaches

Qualifications:
•Experience creating high-poly, main character quality models on at least 2 shipped titles
•Ability to model and texture high-poly and low-poly characters
•Ability to model and texture top quality models in various styles, from realistic to cartoony
•Experienced with 3D Studio Max, and Photoshop
•Thorough knowledge of human anatomy
•Good aesthetic eye
•Ability to effectively communicate art feedback, both verbally and in writing

Preferences:
•Experience with Zbrush and Maya a plus
•Knowledge of photography and lighting is a plus
•Previous experience in a senior or mentoring role
•Fighting game experience a plus
•Ability to travel worldwide if needed
•Sense of humor

Sample Work Required:
•Samples of 3D character work (online or CD formats preferred)
