Huge thanks to Sega for sponsoring the ‘End of day’ thoughts in the name of Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood!
I have so many games to play, just as you guys do, I am sure. I don’t even know where to begin this weekend! I picked up Crash last night, and I want to keep going with that. Perhaps I should stick with it until I wrap it up! Yeah right…that’s not going to happen! Well, before I can kick off some gaming fun, I have to get some sleep. I’ll grab a few winks, and then come back to the site for the regular weekend schedule! See you in a few hours, gang. Enjoy the start of your weekend!

From what I can see thus far, Crash Bandicoot: Mind Over Mutant is a worthy successor to Crash of the Titans. The controls feel better, the graphics look a bit nicer, the music is decent, and the game is just plain fun. Once again, nothing to blow you away, but a solid platformer thus far. The one thing that stands out above the rest of the game is cut-scene presentation. Mind Over Mutant does a fantastic job with cut-scenes, using all sorts of animation methods to tell the story. You get stick-puppets, traditional puppets, hand-drawn animation, Johhny Quest-style animation, and much more. It’s obvious that someone put a lot of time into crafting these cut-scenes.
You know what else? This game has a pretty star-studded voice cast. The last game had some notable voices, but there are even more this time around. You may not know them by name, but you’ll definitely recognize their voices. Brain from ‘Pinky and the Brain’ is here, as is Bender from Futurama, and a lot more. I’m telling you, the cut-scenes have some pretty good writing in them. I actually chuckled a few times! Unfortunately, those scenes didn’t kick in until later in the game. I’ll have to go through and grab one of those for you guys…but that’s another night.
Check out the clip below, and see what you think. Leave me some comments on Crash in general…I want to know if you guys still like the character!
