This is the reason why I love you guys. You send me some of the most interesting stories. In this instance, I got an email from reader Cory concerning his job. One day while working on a project for work, he decided to sneak in some love for Nintendo. Your personal life usual has an influence on your work, and this case is no different. I’ve included an except from Cory’s email below, to better explain what is going on.

I work for a small illustration, design, and animation house. We have this one client (Worthwhile) that we created this spy character (Cody Webster) for. The new animated short has just been released. Cody Webster is a “James Bond” sort of character who always gets himself in trouble that is just out of his realm of dealing with effectively. That’s where Worthwhile steps in and saves the day. They do web hosting, things like that but wanted to make them selves look cooler so we developed this spy character for them (Cody — code / Webster — web , get it? Ah ha.) Why does this matter to GoNintendo? One reason : I love Mario. So for fun, I stuck him and Luigi in quick cameos in the new short. This new short features Cody Webster in the jungle — he and his leading lady are pursued by your standard low-grade, gun-blazing action movie South American bad guys. Mario and Luigi (appear as) Colombian rebels or something. Of course they are dispatched pretty quick by Cody. He is the hero after all.

Obvious to the Nintendo fan, but camouflaged enough that most people won’t notice. Huge thanks to Cody for sharing his story with us!
